Update on Taho the Injured Puppy

We are so thankful for the generosity of dozens of community members in their support of Taho's rescue and recovery. As many of you have read in the news, we were saddened to hear that the difficult decision was made to euthanize Taho. Taho's story was rough and complicated. Extraordinary efforts were made by veterinary and animal behavior experts to get Taho to a point where he could be adopted. Sadly, his horrifically traumatic background made that impossible and the experts determined euthanasia was the most humane outcome for Taho.

The way this community came together to try to help a dog they had never met was incredible. The Sheriff's Foundation was honored to be the conduit to accept the funds raised and to ensure that Taho was given every resource available. All donations beyond that will be used to support important public safety and community programs. Thank you.
